Sorry it's been so long since the last post! Lots of things have been happening! Easter was a lot of fun... Several visitors came and got really touched during the service and in the ministry time when several people laid hands on them to pray for healing. There was definitely something going on there! It's so amazing how eager God is for us to experience Him. Easter Sunday also marked Pastor Matt's fourth year of pastoring, so that's exciting!
Last Saturday night, we hosted an Alliance worship night, which was a good time coming together with other area churches to worship. Ravi from India came and spoke and ministered. I will let you know when and where the next worship night will be.
And on Sunday, Larry gave an encouraging word about how we are created for God's glory and to bring Him glory in everything. When we complain, we are actually complaining about bringing Him glory! And the way to walk in this (bringing Him glory in everything) is by rejoicing always, letting his praise be continually in our mouths, and filling our minds with what He has done and is doing! Larry talked about David, Paul, and then how he has been doing this in his own life. (It's been encouraging me this week.. especially at work!)
As far as upcoming things, we are back in the park on May 8th! (DeSoto Road Park) We'll be doing our usual cleaning up the park and then cookouts... this will continue every other Saturday throughout the summer. Homegroups will be continuing as well... they will also be every other week, on the weeks that we do not have park. We're also looking forward to a marriage conference on June 4-6 with John and Laura Ebel, and then our annual tent meetings July 15-18! Mark your calendars!
