Yesterday was Matt's birthday.. Thanks for being an awesome leader... we love you!
We had a wonderful service yesterday, too. During worship, God just felt so real and close enough to touch. Friends of Lewis and Doris from Petra who are now missionaries in Russia came. He spoke about the kingdom, about keeping the gospel of Jesus as a focus, and how important it is to demonstrate the gospel with power like Paul did. There were also individual words given to people in the congregation. Tony, who guarded our tent during tent meetings in the summer was there for the first time in months. He stood up and gave a testimony about how he was in the hospital and God spared his life... it was good to see him again! We first met him down at the shot tower doing homeless ministry.
Upcoming things include going downtown on Wed, service on Thursday, and a worship night this Saturday with Burning Heart, Harvest, and Victory Outreach on Saturday the 19th at our church. And of course, Christmas! :)
