General update

There’s been lots happening and more to come! Lately our focus has been more on fellowship, because what’s the point if you can do all kinds of ministry together but have no real relationship inside the church family? It seems like everyone is enjoying the Thursday evenings with Larry Creider! (in the video series The Cry for Spiritual Mothers and Fathers) We are half way through the series now. This past Saturday, our church came together with Harvest Church, Burning Heart Fellowship, and Victory Outreach for a night of worship and prayer! It was a good time, and they are planning another night of worship next month. (details to come) As far as other things coming up, Oct 28-31 is Global Awakening’s Voice of the Apostles Conference here in Baltimore. And Nov 1 Penn Clark will be with us for ordination and elder installation!

Sunday, Matt read us the beginning of Revelation 4 and gave us a word about how God wants to make us great but also how we need to choose to be humble. In Rev 4, it talks about the throne of God in heaven and the 24 thrones around it where the 24 elders sit. Its amazing how the elders were chosen to sit close to God. Matt was saying how that place has so much respect and honor, but whenever the living creatures would worship God, the elders got off their thrones, fell on their faces, and cast their crowns before him without worrying about their dignity or position. It’s about finding ourselves in Jesus, not a position… becoming great but also humble.
