Hey it's Amanda again. i was gone most of last week in Ohio spending a lot a good time with my family and planning my wedding! But it's reeeally nice to be back in Baltimore... i can't help it, i just love it here... i'm in my destiny!
Different people have been asking questions lately about the Church at Baltimore... our vision, core beliefs, ect. So i think that's been stirring some things up in us, and on Sunday, Matt talked about the vision of the church. (I just listened to the recording last night and it got me so excited!) We were called here to Baltimore to make disciples... not to build an organization. Jesus said HE will build his church. We are called to make disciples. Our mandate is to minister to the poor, because that's what Jesus did, since it's the sick that need a doctor. We want God to use all of us to bring the kingdom on earth like it is in heaven and watch people encounter Him. Local church is our school, our seminary... the best place to equip us, to attack our weaknesses (in a good way), and to rub off our bad attitudes! It's a process that's irreplaceable, it's tough, but we have to stick to it. Jesus said the world will know we're Christians by our love for eachother. <3
